Huascar Brazobán’s second relief outing with the Mets on Saturday night didn’t go nearly as well as his first.
With two outs, two runners on and protecting a two-run lead in the seventh inning, Brazobán gave up a go-ahead three-run home run to Angels shortstop Zach Neto - erasing the comeback the Mets completed a half-inning prior.
The Mets (58-52) couldn’t come back a second time as they lost 5-4 to the Angels Saturday night in Anaheim. Brazobán’s outing sealed the loss right after J.D. Martinez put the Mets on top with one swing.
With the bases loaded and the Mets down by two runs in the seventh inning, Martinez hit his 12th home run of the season and his 10th grand slam of his career to give the Mets a 4-2 lead.
