Sandy Alderson said he is not finished trying to upgrade the Mets roster and improve the team’s shaky offense, even adding that a possible “big” move could happen before Friday’s non-waiver trade deadline.
Addressing reporters before Saturday night’s Mets-Dodgers game, Alderson discussed how the acquisition of Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson from the Atlanta Braves the previous night will give the Mets versatility and hopefully a little pop.
But he still could be looking for more. When Alderson was asked if he was still exploring some “big” moves, his response was revealing.
“I guess what I would consider big moves, yeah,” Alderson said.
