Alderson admits Granderson soft spot as Mets weigh trades

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Sandy Alderson’s suite at the Gaylord National hotel is the place to visit this week if you want a lefty-swinging outfield bat.

The Mets general manager will listen to all offers for Jay Bruce, Curtis Granderson and — as The Post’s Joel Sherman reported Sunday — even Michael Conforto. Such is the luxury that comes with having addressed the club’s biggest offseason need last week by signing Yoenis Cespedes to a four-year contract worth $110 million.

By the time these winter meetings conclude Thursday, the expectation is the Mets will have traded Bruce or Granderson (but not both) for either bullpen help or prospects who can replenish the farm system.
