NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Fans were on their toes at Citi Field Monday night, as the Mets appeared to be getting their revenge on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
As CBS2’s Tracee Carrasco reported, Mets fans were looking for a win against the Dodgers – and a lead in the National League Division series – after Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley slid into Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada in Game 2 on Saturday.
Tejada’s right leg was broken, and he will miss the rest of the postseason. MLB Chief Baseball Officer Joe Torre, said Utley’s takeout of Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada in Game 2 on Saturday was an “illegal slide,” and suspended him for Games 3 and 4 of the series.
