Wilmer Flores no longer leads the Mets in home runs this season.
Lucas Duda saw to that Wednesday at Citi Field. In fact Duda even hit well enough to become a member of the Mets’ slugging pitching rotation.
Duda collected the eighth multi-homer game of his career and second this season, by launching a pair of fastballs from starter Sean O’Sullivan during a three-hit performance in the Mets’ 7-0 romp that completed a three-game sweep of the Phillies.
“I’m getting a little more comfortable. Just trying to elevate a pitch and put a good swing on it,” said Duda who saw the same result with the same approach in his two at-bats that resulted in homers.
