ARLINGTON, Texas — For now, there are two rookie home run kings in New York. But Aaron Judge believes that won’t last long.
After Pete Alonso tied Judge’s rookie homer mark on Friday night, Judge said the Mets’ first baseman would move past him over the season’s final two days.
“There’s no better person to share it with,’’ Judge said after Alonso hit 52, the mark Judge set just two years ago. “He’s eventually going to break it. I know that, for sure.”
And Judge is excited to hand over the title.
“There’s no better person to represent not only the Mets, but also the City of New York,’’ Judge said after sitting out the Yankees’ 14-7 win over the Rangers at Globe Life Park.
