On Thursdays for the rest of the season, we will be doing a Wild Card update, looking at how the Mets and their competitors have fared since last check in.
The Mets have gone 4-2 over their last six games, and have gone from being a half-game out of the Wild Card race to holding a one game lead over the Braves for the third spot. They did this by winning series against the Reds and the Blue Jays, and by the other teams in the race not playing nearly as well as the Mets have.
