Since becoming a full-season affiliate following the radical reorganization of Minor League Baseball in the wake of its acquisition by Major League Baseball, the Brooklyn Cyclones have been hot and cold. In 2021, their first year as the Mets’ High-A affiliate, the team went 48-70, putting them dead last in the “High-A East” North Division. In 2022, they went 30-36 in the first half of the season and 41-25 in the second half, giving them a 70-62 overall record and a berth in the South Atlantic League Division Series, a three-game matchup they would lose to the Aberdeen IronBirds.
