2024 Mets Draft profile: Corey Collins

Corey Collins attended and graduated from North Gwinnett High School in Gwinnett County, Georgia, where he lettered four years and set a school record 26 home runs. He hit .483 with 16 home runs in his junior year, helping lead the North Gwinnett Bulldogs to a 31-8 record, the Region 6-7A title and a spot in the state playoffs. He was unable to put up similar numbers in his senior season, as he did not have a senior season, the COVID-19 pandemic robbing him of it. Well scouted by major league evaluators, Collins was considered a highly valued prospect coming into the 2020 MLB Draft, but because of the extremely unique circumstances surrounding it, he was not one of the 160 total players drafted that year.
