Amidst the turbulent stretch of games the Knicks have had in January, fans have voiced their concerns over a myriad of things, including, but not limited to, the starters’ minutes, the rotation, the poor second halves, the lack of bench production, and the lack of three-point shooting. And there’s one player who could potentially solve, or at the very least help mitigate, some of those issues. That player is Cameron Payne.
Now, Payne is an inconsistent and imperfect player. He’s an undersized guard who isn’t an elite athlete, which limits his ceiling as a defender. His shooting is streaky.
