On the same day that Bob Myers announced that he’d be stepping down from his role as president and general manager for the Warriors, Newsday’s Steve Popper reported that the New York Knicks aren’t going to extend general manager Scott Perry’s contract this summer.
The news led to even more Knicks fans speculating whether or not the organization would hire Myers to replace Perry. While that’s a reasonable thought given the timing, there’s little reason to believe that Myers would even want to go to New York to be general manager. The two-time executive of the year could take some time off before making his next move.
