Jameel Warney is back in New York.
Warney, the former Stony Brook star who helped lead the Seawolves to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016, was traded to the G League Westchester Knicks from the Texas Legends in exchange for Xavier Rathan-Mayes.
The deal, which was announced by the Knicks on Tuesday evening, is pending physicals by both players, according to a release from the team.
The 6-7, 259-pound Warney, 24, scored 2,132 points during his four years at Stony Brook before going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. He averaged 13.7 points and 6.
