Out of all of the signs, a contending team possesses, their ability to have any player step up is arguably the most important. On any given night, a team can be in need of serious help and when they’re able to receive it, that situation really changes the game. The Westchester Knicks (12-3) found themselves needing a spark or two on Wednesday night, and got exactly what they wanted as they held off the South Bay Lakers’ comeback attempt in their 103-89 win.
Throughout a game in which Isaiah Hicks and Billy Garrett, who’ve recently been the Knicks’ leading scorers, struggled mightily with their shots (18 points on 5/17 shooting), they were saved by the timely shot-making of Trevon Bluiett and Kadeem Allen.
