Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. wasn’t in a pleasant mood the day former head coach Jeff Hornacek got canned after the season finale in mid-April, saying he couldn’t “wrap my thoughts around what management thinks.’’
Of course, Hardaway had no idea at the time that Hornacek’s successor would be an old familiar face from Miami: former Heat assistant David Fizdale.
Four months later, Hardaway sounded like he thinks the Knicks have the right leader to guide them to what nobody expects — a playoff berth.
