Maybe there’s a silver lining to the disappointing night suffered by the Westchester Knicks, who were eliminated from the G-League playoffs Monday in the first round by the Raptors 905.
For the second straight season, the Raptors 905 have been guided by head coach Jerry Stackhouse, who may get an interview for the Knicks job, with Jeff Hornacek on thin ice.
It wouldn’t be Stackhouse’s first Knicks’ interview. The 18-year NBA veteran shooting guard interviewed with former president Phil Jackson and then-general manager Steve Mills in 2014 — more for the position of player-developmental coach. Perry is the new GM and has a history with Stackhouse, whose Pistons stint intersected with Perry’s from 2000-02.
