The New York Knicks are soft at the power forward position. They have little depth on the wing behind Carmelo Anthony and Arron Afflalo. Phil Jackson has made it known he will use every tool at his disposal. He continued with that approach today.
Jackson announced the signings of undrafted rookie free agents Wesley Saunders and Darion Atkins. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Saunders and Atkins both signed partially guaranteed training camp deals with the Knicks in July.
Atkins is the reigning ACC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior from the University of Virginia, taking great strides forward from his first three seasons.
