When the New York Knicks repurposed their roster this offseason, one of the biggest question marks regarding rotation construction would be their rebounding.
Every time a shot went up last year, New York’s front office and fan base could count on Isaiah Hartenstein to outwork and outhustle the opposition to secure the rebound. If he was on the bench, it was Mitchell Robinson doing the dirty work. If not the former two, Julius Randle would be flying into the paint, crashing the glass and throwing his weight around.
The team had identity and drive, and the Knicks finished in the top five across the NBA in team rebounds per game.
