Almost as quickly as he became a New York Knick, Jacob Evans is now gone.
New York Knicks announced today that the team has waived guard Jacob Evans.

Evans came over as part of the deal that sent Ed Davis to the Minnesota Timberwolves and netted the Knicks Evans, Omari Spellman, and a second round pick (in addition to the two seconds that the Knicks got for taking on Davis from the Utah Jazz). Ultimately it’s not too surprising to see the Knicks cut Evans — it seems like he was more or less in the trade to make salaries match, and from a player perspective, the team seemed way more enamored with Spellman.
