The Knicks have released point guards Trey Burke and Xavier Rathan-Mayes, as well as forward Nigel Hayes, Saturday morning.
The release comes just hours after the team’s final game of the preseason. None of the three played in Friday night’s finale, a 110-103 loss to the Washington Wizards.
Both Hayes and Rathan-Mayes played for the Knicks in Summer League before signing non-guaranteed training camp deals. Hayes took part in four preseason games, Rathan-Mayes in three. They were joined in camp by fellow Summer Leaguer Jamel Artis, who was released after the first preseason game.
