The Knicks finally saw the old Allonzo Trier

The lasting image of Allonzo Trier’s trip to London is the game-deciding goaltending call against him with 0.4 seconds left in the Knicks’ 101-100 loss to the Wizards on Thursday.

The lasting impact of the trip could be a strong finish to Trier’s rookie season, further validating the two-year contract the Knicks gave the undrafted guard last month.

After struggling to recreate his early-season success since he missed eight games with a hamstring injury, Trier had his strongest game since his return, scoring 13 points, on 5-of-8 shooting, while adding three assists, two rebounds and one steal, in 23 minutes against Washington.
