The European Championships must be making Knicks drool

Maybe there’s some hope for the future if the European Championships are any indication, as the Knicks’ young frontcourt tandem of Kristaps Porzingis and Willy Hernangomez are lighting things up across the Atlantic.

Before the tournament began last week, Porzingis tweeted he intended to make his first NBA All-Star team. So far through two games for Latvia, the Knicks’ 7-foot-3 phenom is scoring at that level.

Showing no signs of a knee bruise that kept him out of a few exhibition games, Porzingis is putting up All-Star numbers, averaging 22.5 points for Latvia (1-1) in group play.
