The New York Knicks are waiving guard Landry Shamet, sources told ESPN on Saturday.
The move comes days after Shamet, 27, dislocated his right shoulder trying to make a defensive play in a preseason game Tuesday. He's hoping to be able to rehab the injury without needing to have surgery.
Before the injury, Shamet -- who was averaging 10.8 points in 22 minutes per night in the preseason and has shot 38.4% from three over his six-year career -- was a sure thing to make the Knicks' roster.
