Some teams that haven’t done what the Knicks just did before the New Year.

In what was supposed to be a rather mundane win against the lowly Wizards turned into arguably the most thrilling win of the season, as the Knicks came out flat defensively, fell behind by double figures in the second half, and stormed back for a 130-126 overtime victory in the nation’s capital, carried by Jalen Brunson’s heroic 55 point performance. It was the first 50-ball by the Knicks this season, Brunson’s second-highest mark of his career, and the fourth Knick to drop 40.

If you told me before the season that both Bridges and Anunoby would drop 40 before Brunson, I would’ve either thought we were going 74-8 or something went very wrong.
