Kevin Knox looked right on schedule. Fellow Knicks rookie Mitchell Robinson looked as if he may be on his own schedule — as the project everyone figured he would be when the center was drafted in the second round.
The Knicks staged an intrasquad blue-gray scrimmage at the Garden on Saturday before an estimated 5,000 fans. Knox wasn’t shy. An unofficial count had him launching 14 shots, making seven, and getting to the line for a pair of free throws after a hard drive. The scrimmage consisted of three 10-minute periods.
Knicks coach David Fizdale admitted his 19-year-old lottery pick looked tentative in the first training-camp scrimmage Tuesday, making the adjustment from his fine summer league performance in Las Vegas.
