The New York Knicks let a win slip through their fingers on Friday night, and instead of being up 3-0 against the Indiana Pacers in today’s Game Five of the 2024 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, they led the series 2-1. By the second quarter of the game, it was clear they would head back to New York for Tuesday’s game all tied up.
The first half of their 45th playoff matchup was gruesome. Poor shooting and slow-footed defense by the Knicks led to a 69-41 halftime deficit. Alec Burks (yes, that Alec Burks) led the team with 11 first-half points while five Pacers had scored in double-digits.
