The Knicks will be without RJ Barrett for at least another week.
The rookie has transitioned from crutches to a walking boot for his sprained right ankle and “continues to make progress,” the Knicks announced Saturday after Barrett was examined. He is set to be reevaluated in one week.
Barrett, who was shooting free throws when practice opened to the media Saturday, has already missed four straight games and is expected to miss at least another four this week.
“Just in conversations, he’s studying the game,” interim coach Mike Miller said. “He’s talking about things he’s seeing in the game.
