We know it was coming and know its official if New York Post’s Stefan Bondy’s sources are right.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have emerged as the top contender to snatch Isaiah Hartenstein from New York once he becomes an unrestricted free agent and is able to negotiate a new contract on June 30.
“The Thunder is viewed by NBA sources as the top threat to pry Hartenstein away from the Knicks in free agency,” Bondy reported on June 10.
Those NBA sources have identified the Thunder as the primary threat to lure Hartenstein, saying the possibility is “real” and that there is in fact an interest in signing the Knicks big man ahead of next season.
