Today Jake Fischer (Yahoo! Sports) added a little spice to the speculation about the future of the New York Knicks’ frontcourt.
As he reports, the Oklahoma City Thunder were previously seen as a team that might offer a short-term contract to Knicks free agent Isaiah Hartenstein. Yesterday, OKC swapped Josh Giddey for Chicago Bull Alex Caruso, which might alter their free agency plans. Although the Caruso acquisition doesn’t rule out a deal for Hartenstein, Fischer cites sources who suggest that Sam Presti and the Thunder are now more likely to seek a backup big man to support Chet Holmgren.
