REPORT: Knicks Meet with Tony Wroten, Could Be Jimmer Replacement

As the New York legend, Jimmer Fredette, sees his time with his hometown Knicks come to an end, it might also signify the start of a new era. The Tony Wroten era.

The Philadelphia 76ers released Wroten on Christmas Eve, just eight games into his return from a torn ACL which ended his 2014-15 campaign. Since then, Wroten has sat in free agency with no teams yet to bite.

The Knicks had some interest around New Years Eve but it went nowhere. With a necessity to upgrade their point guard position, and Jimmer Fredette’s 10-day contract coming to an end, the team revisited the Wroten option.
