For better or worse, the New York Knicks have committed to building around an interior tandem of Kristaps Porzingis and Robin Lopez. Porzingis was selected at No. 4 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, and Lopez is entering the first season of a four-year, $54 million contract.
That doesn’t mean the Knicks can afford to stop searching for interior depth.
As previously reported, New York is interested in potentially signing veteran power forward Carlos Boozer. Boozer isn’t the All-Star that he used to be, but Phil Jackson clearly sees his value as a role player in the Triangle Offense.
