The New York Knicks decided to move on from center Willy Hernagomez on Wednesday as they dealt him to the Charlotte Hornets for power forward Johnny O’Bryant and two second round picks.
After the trade was reported, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reported something very interesting. He wrote on Twitter that some coaches as well as team officials didn’t like Hernagomez only talking in Spanish with Kristaps Porzingis at times.
Within 12 hours, Kristaps lost his season and had a friend traded. Strange but true: some coaches & team officials didn't like that Willy and KP would regularly communicate by speaking Spanish.
