Silent Steve Mills? Really?
Nothing at all against the Knickerbockers’ general manager, but it’s hard envisioning him producing a DeBusschere-esque fist-pounding moment should his team win the No. 1 pick in Tuesday night’s NBA draft lottery.
Of course Phil Jackson should be representing the organization he currently runs, with or without Isiah Thomas gazing over his shoulder. That’s no revelation. From a PR standpoint the man in charge should at least give the perception he’s in charge. Especially on a night the Gulag marketing machine will immediately begin selling as ANOTHER start of a new Knicks era should the Ping-Pong balls bounce in the team’s favor.
