Kiki VanDeWeghe ended his NBA playing career after the 1992-93 season, during which he appeared in 41 games for the Los Angeles Clippers, missing the other 41 games due to persistent injuries. “I was hurt over my last four years of playing,” VanDeWeghe recalled. However, Clippers head coach Larry Brown invited him to join the young Clippers as more of a hybrid player-coach.
