While this intense, back-and-forth Knicks-Pacers series has been closely contested overall and now sits at 3-2, the last couple of games have been far from competitive. In Game Four, the Pacers took advantage of a sluggish and sloppy Knicks effort and came away with a 32-point drubbing at home. Pundits and fans of other teams were quick to jump on the Knicks and their coach, Tom Thibodeau, and voiced doubt that they could win the series after looking so physically drained. Just two days later, though, the Knicks, playing in front of their home crowd and fueled by an impactful starting lineup change, secured a dominant 30-point victory that put them just one win away from reaching the Eastern Conference Finals.
