The road Knicks went to Detroit and road Knicks’d the crap out of one on Friday night. Just when it seemed as if they had things under control, up 4 with a little more than 1:00 remaining, the Pistons realized that Jarrett Jack is approximately 75 years old and can’t guard anybody. Why was Jack in the game when the Knicks needed stops? Hell if I know.
Anywho, Jack picked up like 3-4 fouls in 30 seconds—I kid you not—allowing Reggie Jackson to tie the game. The Knicks still had a chance for a 2-for-1, but Ron Baker got his pocket picked, Detroit hit a go-ahead free throw, Courtney Lee got blocked on a drive, the Pistons hit two more free throws, and Lee kinda dicked around with the ball until the end of the clock, passing it to Kristaps for the last-second heave.
