By now, there is so much triangle fatigue in New York, at Madison Square Garden, wherever Knicks fans congregate to talk about another awful season. The triangle offense has become something of an unindicted co-conspirator to all that befalls and befuddles the Knicks now. That’s silly, sure. It’s unfair.
But facts are facts, and truth is truth.
It’s funny: Phil Jackson has been criticized lately for meddling in his coach’s business and in his team’s affairs because he has taken to teaching younger players the finer points of his beloved system. In recent weeks there has been a revitalized effort to emphasize the triangle.
