Patrick Ewing expects Phil Jackson to snub coaching dream

Patrick Ewing isn’t banking on it, but hopes he can at least get his first Knicks head-coaching interview if president Phil Jackson conducts a search after the season.

Ewing is back at the Garden on Wednesday with the playoff-bound Hornets (44-33), for whom he works as Steve Clifford’s associate head coach. The 11-time All-Star and Knicks legend has toiled as an assistant for 13 seasons.

“Naturally, I’d love to be back in New York,’’ Ewing said recently on “The Vertical Podcast with Woj.”

“I still have a home there in the offseason. I still get to go back there.
