Patrick Beverley pings on Knicks’ radar

Though it’s the deepest part of their thin roster, the Knicks have expressed interest in Rockets free agent point guard Patrick Beverley, an NBA source confirmed.

“There’s mutual interest,’’ the source said.

It’s hardly the Knicks’ top priority, but it’s a definite Plan C.

Because Beverley is a restricted free agent, the Rockets can match any offer, but there’s rumblings they are plotting to move on. Houston reportedly offered Sergio Llull of Real Madrid a three-year, $24 million package. Llull, 28, was a 2009 second-round pick of Denver’s before the Rockets purchased his rights.

It appeared Knicks president Phil Jackson was set on point guard Jose Calderon and draft night first-round pickup, Notre Dame combo guard Jerian Grant.
