Today is the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. In two days, Team USA will open their journey for a fifth consecutive gold medal against Serbia. Three weeks ago, I looked back at U.S. Olympic participation that had connections to the Knicks before the historic ruling in 1989 which allowed professional athletes to compete in international events, allowing NBA players to take the floor in the Olympics and FIBA World Cup.
