Thursday night, the most compelling storyline of the inaugural second day of the 2024 NBA Draft was the status of USC guard Bronny James. Midway through the round, Bob Myers revealed to the world on the ESPN broadcast that Rich Paul, agent of Bronny James and his father, the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, LeBron, has threatened NBA teams that Bronny is not interested in playing in, that he will go to Australia to play professionally if he is drafted there.
Of course, we don’t know if it was specifically all 29 teams that aren’t the LA Lakers, but we do know that Bronny was selected 55th overall by the purple and gold, most likely joining his father and creating the first father-son teammate tandem in NBA history.
