How it Happened
The Garden was abuzz with the defending champs in town, and even after going down to the wire in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Golden State put on a show. The Knicks responded to a 7-0 deficit to start the game with a 14-0 run of their own, but Draymond Green's ninth triple double and 34 points from Klay Thompson were too much to overcome in a 116-95 loss.
Derek Fisher's club managed to slow Stephen Curry -- the reigning MVP finished with more field goal attempts (17) than points (13) for the first time this season -- but Golden State caught fire from downtown connecting on 15 of 26 treys, led by Thompson, who went 5 for 6.
