The Knicks took the court in Charlotte on Saturday night without the services of three projected opening night starters (Carmelo Anthony, Robin Lopez and Jose Calderon) or Kyle O'Quinn, another key role player. While giving some of his veterans rest on the second night of their only back-to-back of the preseason, Derek Fisher also had an opportunity to see how the rest of the roster would handle some increased responsibility.
Led by Langston Galloway, New York acquitted itself quite well, despite suffering its first loss of the preseason, 97-93.
