It's not easy to fly across the country and play a basketball game at 4,327 ft. altitude, particularly against a team as competitive as the Jazz. In the first game of a three-game Western Conference road trip, the Knicks fell behind early and were unable to make up the ground as Utah coasted to a 106-85 victory on Wednesday night.
The Jazz held New York to 11 points in the first quarter and Derek Fisher's club shot just 39.7 percent for the game. Gordon Hayward scored 18 of his 24 points in the first half, and Utah built a 60-35 lead despite an 11-4 Knicks run to end the first half.
