NYK 118, UTA 111: Knicks Show Toughness in Comeback OT Win

How It Happened:

For the second straight year, the Knicks and Jazz went down to the wire at MSG. Trey Burke nailed a buzzer beater a year ago, but this time around, the New York fans went home happy.

Trailing for most of the night, New York avoided a repeat performance, erasing an eight-point deficit at the end of the third quarter to force overtime and prevail, 118-111 to improve to 13-8 at The Garden. Derrick Williams came alive for 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, putting an exclamation point on the win with two emphatic dunks and a play that symbolized his team's effort on the night -- after tipping the ball to himself four times to secure the offensive board, he gathered, converted the layup and drew the foul to send the crowd into a frenzy.
