The past decade has been challenging for New York Knicks fans.
While the team has missed the playoffs for seven consecutive seasons, the 2010s started off so promising. After a six-year playoff drought, 2010-11 saw the team reach the playoffs with the promise of more to come from Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.
After dipping their toe in the postseason, New York won 54 games in 2012-13. They were a Roy Hibbert block away from perhaps advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks were back. The dark days were in the rearview mirror.
