Like the NBA needed more drama. Days after Anthony Davis requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, Kristaps Porzingis used his power in a meeting with New York Knicks management, to express concern over the team’s, “losing, franchise direction,” and uncertainty of a winning culture in development, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Porzingis wants “clarity” on his “future role with the team and Knicks direction,” Wojnarowski added.
No, that does not mean it’s time for the Knicks to smash the panic button — yet. They can retain Porzingis, who will become a restricted free agent this summer, no matter what.
