The New York Knicks entered Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a desperate need to defeat the Brooklyn Nets. New York had lost three straight games, as well as 10 of its past 12 outings, and remained one of the worst road teams in the NBA.

With the odds stacked against them, the Knicks fought until the end and improved to 20-24 with a 119-104 road win over the Brooklyn Nets.

New York entered the fourth quarter with an 83-81 lead, but turned it up when it mattered most. It outscored Brooklyn 36-23 during the final frame, playing lockdown defense and creating beautiful ball movement en route to what became a blowout win.
