Surprise, surprise. The New York Knicks have a pre-draft card still up their sleeve, with Vanderbilt’s Darius Garland working out for them on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. This is the projected second point guard to be taken in the first round.
RJ Barrett seemed like the guy. He met with the Knicks, and he wants to wear their jersey next season. Ja Morant, the first projected point guard to be taken, was set as the alternative.
So, why is Garland suddenly in the mix?
Due diligence is a standard part of the pre-draft process.
