In an unusual circumstance, at least for those watching on the East Coast, the New York Knicks have played consecutive matinée games. This was due to their trip to London, England, for a matchup against the Washington Wizards, resulting in a buzzer-beating goaltending loss, 101-100.
However, the Knicks will once again play in the afternoon, except back at home, at Madison Square Garden, against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s part of the NBA’s celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is honored on Monday, Jan. 21.
As with nearly the past two months, though, toppling anyone is a challenge for this team.
