The New York Knicks have gone to great lengths to address the void at the point guard position. In the matter of one offseason, the Knicks have drafted the point guard of the future, re-signed a promising young talent, and added two veterans to fill invaluable roles as mentors.
With the position still seemingly missing an element of unpredictability, the Knicks have taken a chance on a dynamic young talent who’s in search of a career resurrection: Trey Burke.
New York signed Burke during the closing stages of the preseason. It was poor timing based on the fact that the Knicks were approaching their preseason finale, but it appears to have been a move with stronger long-term implications than Burke’s hastily announced release implied.
